Text: John 15:2
Every branch in Me that beareth not fruit He taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
John 15:2.
It is a dangerous thing for one to be attached to church but not connected to Christ! Beloved, being around church is not enough, it is possible to use the Name of Christ, to associate with Believers, and yet not have a connection to Christ! God will eventually remove such one because you are not bearing fruit. When we know Christ, we are changed and transformed by Him as we give ourselves to Him through His Word, we begin to bear fruit.
Without bearing fruit as a child of God, you will end up being cut off and thrown into the fire. Bring forth, therefore, fruits meet for repentance: Matthew 3:8.
God purges those who submit themselves to The Holy Spirit so that they can bear more fruit in the Kingdom of His Son JESUS CHRIST. Beloved, God desires that as you believe and surrender your heart to His Son JESUS CHRIST, you become fruitful even as He prunes you to bear more fruit.
God expects us to be fruitful in our families; in our place of work, in our neighbourhood, etc. God expects us to talk like Christ, act like Christ, expressing the fruit of The Holy Spirit of Christ as we encounter others. To reproduce Christ in us in the lives of others. Telling them about Christ and helping them to know Christ, doing all that we can to establish them in the Kingdom of Christ.
When you refuse to be fruitful and produce fruits, God takes you away and replaces you with another who will bear fruit for His Glory and in His Kingdom. Everyone must see Christ in you, people should know that you belong to Christ when you are around them because of the Presence of The Holy Spirit in you.
PRAYER: Father, I want to be fruitful, please empower me through The Holy Spirit in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
