Even so, every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

In our lives, every word & every action is fruit from our hearts. We sin because that’s what is in our hearts. We received a nature of sin when Adam disobeyed God and this is called Adamic nature in us, which we exchange to receive Christ’s nature of righteousness when we come surrendering to Him!
Thieves steal, rapists attack, & adulterers cheat, etc., because those sins are the fruit being produced from an evil heart – the nature of sin. Bad hearts produce bad fruit and until we submit our hearts to The Holy Spirit through His Word, we will remain the same, struggling with sin – a corrupt tree and bad fruit. It is only through the Word of God that Christ can take root in our hearts & begin to produce good fruit before we can be able to have a good tree that brings forth good fruit.
When we are submitted to The Holy Spirit, He begins to work in us & to put His fruit in us – to take away every corrupt tree and evil fruit of sin from our lives, thieves no longer desire to steal, murderers no longer wish to kill, etc., sin becomes impossible because there is a higher Power working within us! The Holy Spirit produces good fruit in the lives of those who belong to JESUS CHRIST.
The more you submit to The Holy Spirit through His Word, prayer and fellowship, the more He produces the fruit of Christ in you. Beloved, only The Holy Spirit can produce good fruit in us; we cannot bear good fruit by ourselves because the nature of man is sin & corruption.
Without the fruit of God in us, we may not see Him. When we bear good fruit, people see our good fruit, they are influenced by us, and they praise God in Heaven. God uses the good fruit in us for His Glory & to bring people to His Kingdom. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23.
PRAYER: Father, help me to stay submitted to Your Spirit so that I will bear good fruit always in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
