THE BRIDE OF CHRIST

Text: 1 Corinthians 7:31

Message: and they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.

1 Corinthians 7:31.

Each person’s earthly life can come to an end at any moment! We must live each day as if it is our last day on earth. We must embrace the reality that our lives are fragile and pass away very quickly. As children of God and followers of JESUS CHRIST whose souls are joined with Him at Salvation and having the same Spirit living within us which lives in Him, God expects us to live in the world yet not holding tightly to the things of the world.

The married ones ought to live as though unmarried, those having all possessions ought to walk in such a way that they have only Christ and those making purchases as though not enjoying the emotions for the world passeth away. The desire of Christ the Bridegroom of the church is for us His bride to be completely focused on Him; to be steadily fixated on the things above where He is seated at the right Hand of God, and not on the things of this world and its pleasures.

We ought to not allow the things of this world to become more important to us than Christ, the world is passing away and the things thereof, but our souls will live forever and those who belong to Christ will dwell in His Kingdom forever. You should use the things of the world without letting them become important to you.

This is how we should live, because this world, the way it is now, will soon be gone. As God blesses us daily, we should become rich towards establishing His Kingdom here on earth as it is in Heaven. We should do things that please Him always by His exceeding grace made available for us daily through the death of His Son JESUS CHRIST on the Cross of Calvary.

PRAYER: Precious and Holy Father, please empower me to stay fixated upon You and Your Kingdom in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
